For your peace of mind, we provide fixed fees for your enduring powers of attorney.

Our fixed fee service is based on your instructions and the documents being straight-forward, without any complicating factors.  This means:

  • you are appointing one person with up to two successor attorneys for your personal care and welfare
  • you are appointing up to two attorneys and up to two successor attorneys for your property
  • the attorneys and successor attorneys you appoint for both documents are the same (but may be in different order)
  • the appointment is in relation to all of your affairs, with no restrictions
  • there are no special conditions to be included
  • all information required by us to complete the documents is provided in full and in a timely manner
  • there are no changes (more than minor) to your instructions before signing and after we have prepared the documentation
  • if you are elderly, you already have a medical letter confirming you have the ability to understand and sign these documents
  • there are unlikely to be any future disputes around who you appointed or whether you had the ability to sign the documents.

Our fixed fee service does not include:

  • arranging for your attorneys to sign the documents, as this is often arranged by the donor to save on costs.  We are happy to assist you with this process based on time spent at our hourly rates
  • preparing and providing notice of revocation of previously appointed attorneys
  • will planning or asset protection advice. Please ask us about our estate planning sessions.

We do not anticipate any disbursement costs, unless we are arranging signing by your attorneys, in which case we estimate $10 per courier within NZ (including GST).
